“California counties and metropolitan centers saw some of the largest population declines during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to data released this week from the U.S. Census Bureau.”
The report noted that some declines in California’s counties are attributable to international migration losses during the pandemic, with California being home to 41.4% of the counties that saw these losses. Other experts say that the rise of remote work and a desire to flee coronavirus infection centers played a role in population dips across the state.

With Gavin Newsom’s policies of universal muzzling and caging, you would think California was a “safe harbor” during pandemic. If draconian restrictions were so effective, how come people wanted to get out of California, and not into it? Even with all the remote work, why would anybody risk their lives to leave the “safe harbor” that was California and seek out “disease centers” where people routinely died because of “reckless policies?”

I bet it may be a while. According to a recent poll, more than half of residents still stuck in the cesspool formerly known as the city of San Francisco want out – not back in.
Talking to my Ukrainian friends who had to flee because Putin unleashed a horribly unjust war on their country, I can’t help but note that all of them can’t wait to return home.
