When Elon Musk moved in on a massive amount of Twitter stock shares last week, the shuddering from the leftists in Silicon Valley could be felt across the nation. What will Elon do? Will he try to push towards the shutdown of our virtuous censorship of right-wingers? Will he (gasp) advocate for the allowance of content we don’t like?
Musk likely has lofty goals on how he might be able to use his leverage and influence to transform Twitter’s culture. But on Saturday, he illustrated that, at the very least, he’ll continue to be a pain in their collective ass and take a random shot at the Big Tech giant when the mood strikes him. And he also showed the utter lack of self-awareness that afflicts the left.
Musk’s epic trolling came in the form of a subtle poll.
Convert Twitter SF HQ to homeless shelter since no one shows up anyway
— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) April 10, 2022
To the layman and Twitter non-aficionados, Musk’s message seems pretty clear. Musk is illustrating the hypocrisy of Twitter, as well as its uselessness. Twitter is the self-proclaimed keeper-of-the-keys for wokeness, leftwing social justice efforts, and advocacy for big government social welfare programs. Twitter is the epitome of corporate leftism, with hundreds of multi-millionaires in their ranks, living in posh Bay Area mansions, while simultaneously railing against the evils of capitalism.
Could Musk’s poll be legitimate? Might he truly think it’s a workable plan? Or is he instead going after Twitter’s leadership with a poke in the eye from their own platform by demanding that they put their money where their mouth is? It’s obvious, but the cluelessness of the left came shining through once again.
The responses on the platform indicate that most users took him seriously. For instance:
…as a transitional home to committed programs that may possibly last for years,,, a a almost a treatment center, um, um maybe a rehab and maybe especially learning center. Unlike a jail. It’s not a job either. @elonmusk @GavinNewsom ???? #ideas #Random https://t.co/n7kXMzs9TT

And the serious reactions to the not-so-serious tweet weren’t just limited to Twitter. The leftwing media fell for Musk’s trolling (continued)
as well. Consider this headline from The Street, “Musk Has an Original Idea to Solve The Homeless Crisis in San Francisco.” Or this one from Business Insider, “Elon Musk floated the idea of turning Twitter’s San Francisco headquarters into a homeless shelter.” Well done, Elon, well done.
For everyone’s sake, let’s hope Musk’s first order of business when he starts throwing his weight around at Twitter is to get them off of their high horse. They’re hypocrites, they’re dishonest, and they’re unethical. It seems a tall order for anyone to seriously alter the company’s detached-from-reality culture, but this type of approach might at least make a dent. God bless Elon Musk.
