Trump At Kid Rock Show-Virtually all of Hollywood and most of the music industry leans left, politically. Pick a genre outside of country music, and you can probably count the number of openly conservative performers on one hand, though there are likely many more who are in the closet. One such unapologetic conservative star is the incomparable Kid Rock, who showed his in-your-face “I’m a conservative and I don’t care what you think” approach at a recent concert.
During his show at the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana on Wednesday, Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert Richie, paused between songs to show a previously prepared video from Donald Trump on the large screen above the stage. Watch:

The appearance was vintage Trump. He starts out, like he so often does, but buttering up his audience and praising the one he’s there to support:
“Hello, everyone, I love you all. I know you’re having a great time at the Kid Rock concert tonight. Quite frankly, he’s amazing.”

Trump, of course, goes into more detail by explaining the reason for his admiration of the fans in attendance, but he does so with genuine affection. Trump means it. He loves folks from places like Indiana, from the heartland, and the fans know it.
“All of you in attendance are the true backbone of our great country; hard-working, God-fearing, rock-n’-roll patriots.”
And, as usual, Trump can’t pass up an opportunity to inject some humor into his appearance with a light-hearted jab at his friend.
“Bob [Kid Rock] is one of the great entertainers of our time. Not the best golfer by any means, his golf game could use a little work.”
Generally speaking, I’m not a fan of entertainers inserting politics into their appearances. I would much prefer they act their parts, or make their jokes, or sing their songs, and leave their politics out of it. But Kid Rock’s situation is slightly different. For one, the rocker is true friends with Trump, as they frequently socialize and often make appearances at one another’s rallies/shows. And it seems that Kid Rock’s political passion is a reaction to the fact we mentioned earlier: The music industry leans so far left, it seems logical that Kid Rock is just trying to provide some balance.
What’s most notable about Trump’s appearance however is the reaction from the fans. (continued)
